| If you happen to have purchased Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - Mickey's Treat on DVD, you will have no doubt seen the engaging bonus episode A Little Einsteins' Halloween. (In my opinion, that episode alone makes it worth getting Mickey's Treat!)
A softcover book, Halloween Surprise featuring the Little Einsteins is based upon the bonus episode, which follows Leo, June, Quincy and Annie as they go trick or treating to various castles around the world in order to collect candy for their costume party. Just like the TV show, this book depicts animated elements as welll as "real life" backgrounds and photos--making for a very colorful, and engaging, book!
From Buckingham Palace to the Palace of Versailles (the costume party takes place in the Hall of Mirrors!), the group make their way around the world with Rocket as they try to avoid pesky ghosts that keep showing up every where!
The youngsters fear that these ghosts are trying to steal their candy--but boy are they in for a surprise as they discover their identity!
Halloween Surprise is a gorgeous book for the Halloween season that has the added bonus of including 25 shiny stickers. If you're looking for benign books to celebrate Halloween, as well as for encouraging kids to read, this would make a fantastic book. It's also great as a bedtime story, and a good adjunct to the Mickey's Treat DVD bonus episode. |
