Overview / 简介: |
Big Cat Pepper has always been a part of the family. But he seems to be sleeping more and more. And then one day he just doesn't wake up again. "His spirit lives forever," the boy's mother tells him gently. Heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time, the complex issue of death for young readers is addressed here in a loving, accessible way.

Foreign Customer Review / 国外客户评价: |
The storyline is beautiful, touching (cried when I read it) and didactic. A little boy's beloved cat, Pepper, whom he has known all his life, is dying. His mother helps him to deal with the reality and after Pepper is gone, the little boy learns to understand that Pepper will always be close to him in his heart and memories.
Although the subject of losing a pet was very well done, there should have been something in there that mentions the responsibility of taking the pet to the Veterinarian -- even just a small mention in a short sentence. Otherwise, the book gives the impression that it's ok to let your pet just...die. |
