| Charise Mericle Harper has written and illustrated lots of fun books for children. If you were to make a list of these books, you could include Fashion Kitty, the Just Grace books, and Itsy Bitsy, the Smart Spider. Charise learned all about being a friend from her first-ever best friend, a girl named Colleen. This was a long time ago, back before cell phones or laptop computers were even invented. She has been practicing her friendship skills ever since. She is pretty good at them now.
Charise lives in Westchester County, New York, with her family.
