| Polo sets out from his tree house bound for adventure yet again, this time sailing off on a fishing trip only to be washed aground on a mountain by the wave of a splashing whale. As usual, though, Polo’s curiosity saves the day after a mysterious koala gives him a magical flute and then disappears. He looks for his odd new friend by taking a trip on a snail bus, and eventually the koala monk shows him how to use the magic flute to take him home. Like previous volumes, this book uses sequential art to tell a story without the use of words. The technique makes for a very accessible tale; young kids will be able to follow along and inject their own interpretations and imaginations into the narrative. The art, although simple, is charming, and the bright colors and expressive characters are sure to appeal to children. Whimsical and fun, the Polo books make perfect storytime fodder. |

| My son was so happy to receive Faller's newest Polo adventure. He was so pleased to see characters already familiar to him from Polo's interactive website! A great "first comic" for preschoolers with vivid imaginations. |
