The question is accompanied by a silly picture showing a giraffe standing in a foaming bathtub. Turn the page and the animal is in its natural habitat, grooming itself with its long tongue and cleaning its baby's ears "just like you use a washrag." Following similar scenarios for an elephant, a zebra, a black rhino (a mud bath), and more, come several spreads showing how people keep clean and tidy: kids in the bath and shower; babies and toddlers being helped by grown-ups; and men at a barbershop. Surrounded by lots of white space, the simple words and line-and-watercolor pictures move easily from nonsense to fun facts and human connections. |

| Ehrlich and Bolam have done it again with another fun book in their "Early Experiences" series. In this book, they explore how animals get clean, comparing and contrasting it with how humans get clean. Readers will learn that while animals may not exactly take showers or baths, they have helpers like humans, among other similarities.
The animals are cute and funny, and readers will get a kick out of seeing various animals in bathtubs or showers. The text is simple and good for read aloud, or for early readers. Any kid that likes animals is sure to enjoy this book.
