| "Sprinkles' First Haircut" is a cute, sweet story about Blue's little brother's first visit to the barber for a haircut (perhaps that should be "furcut?") In the story, Blue and Sprinkles are trying to read a book, but something isn't quite right -- Sprinkles is having trouble seeing it. Does he need glasses? No -- it's not that, it's just that his hair has grown such that it's covering his eyes! He looks rather like a sheepdog.
Blue is excited that her little brother is about to have his first haircut, and her playroom friends are excited too. Sprinkles, however, isn't so sure. He's worried about what's going to happen. Blue tells him that there's nothing to worry about when going to the barbershop. He also promises "I'd never let anything hurt my little brother."
This book shows everything from sitting a in a barber's chair, to a "shampoo song" (very cute) to deciding on a hairstyle. It covers all the bases in a fun, relatable way. All in all, another wonderful addition to the "Blue's Clues" (though this is really more "Blue's Room") line of books. |
