She has been an educator for the past 26 years, teaching reading and language arts to at risk middle-schoolers. In 1992, Jacklyn received the Margaret Lynch Award. Each year, this award is given to a single California educator acknowledging them for exemplary service in the promotion of literacy. When Jacklyn is not writing, she spends her time reading, kayaking, and being the mother of a teen-aged daughter. |
