| I am a first grade teacher always looking for interesting books to help encourage my children to read. Well, this book was a success! They loved the pictures and were able to read the text without too much difficulty. It was predictable text and that made it fun for even the lower readers because eventually they were able to remember what some of the more difficult words were and have success in reading a book on their own. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to introduce non-fiction with pictures. This is especially effective with boys as they are more drawn to real pictures and stories. |
