| This is a wonderful book to read with a preschooler -- particularly one who is interested in maps. Two dinosaurs decide to go on a trip to visit their friend and need to read the map to find their way to her home. The pictures are bright and bold and this is a great introduction to map-reading and interpreting symbols. My sons love to point out the roads on the map in the book and talk about the other features like railroads, lakes and particularly "Crumbly Castle." Each picture has lots of details to discuss with your children -- what are Dexter and Delilah ordering at the rest stop? Which way should they turn now? Where did they leave their car keys? Lots of fun for all. |
