Overview / 简介: |
From the silly to the downright baffling, this book is full of the most nonsensical and hilarious laws to ever be put on the books. Where is it illegal to gargle in public? Or bite your landlord? What state outlawed eating snakes on Sunday? And in what town could you be arrested for making faces at dogs? These are just a few of the dumb laws that have been created throughout the years in cities and states across the U.S.! This book will keep you laughing -- and might even inspire you to find out what crazy laws still exist in your neck of the woods! Show More Show Less

Foreign Customer Review / 国外客户评价: |
This is the cutest book for elementary school children. My son brought it home from school and we spent all of dinner reading aloud from it. Some examples: In Kansas, it is against the law for a woman to walk down the street on a Sunday without her husband following 20 feet behind with a musket. It provided a great opportunity for discussion regarding history, the making of laws, and the possible reasons behind the ones cited.
