| Ashlee Carson is a young girl with talent. She loves playing basket ball like her father. Her father was a pro player until life of the road got the best of him and he turned to alcohol and other things to make him happy. This lead to the divorce of Ashlee's parents. Ashlee's mother is raising her daughter practically on her own and wants her daughter to focus more on academics that sports. She is afraid that her daughter may make the same mistakes that Ashlee's father did. Though out the story they struggle to find that balance. Towards the end of the story they are able to make a comprise and things end on a positive note.
I feel like this would be a great book for girls that are into sports. The book is clean and has a great story line. Ashlee is a great character and would make a great role model for young girls today!
