| When the mayor of Mouseville announces the town snowman contest, Clayton and Desmond claim that they will each make the biggest snowman ever. But building a huge snowman alone is hard! | This was an awesome story to engage my first graders in a writing project. We read this adorable book, then compared it to a giant snowman that was built in Maine (google "Olympia Snow Woman"). We talked about fact and fiction, compared the two snowmen, and did a great writing project on how to build a snowman. This book is adorable. The children loved it! |
