And then my sister Thea told me I had to write a book about Halloween in less than one day! Before you could say boo, my nephew Benjamin had dragged me to a graveyard to do research. | My daughter had started to read "chapter books" but found them a bit boring (lots of writing and no pictures!). To keep her motivated I reasearched and came across this serie. I bought the first 3 and she loved it. In fact she begged me to buy more books from the serie. I did get 10 more and she read them all in a couple of days! The good thing is she re-reads them to herself and her 4 year old brother. They find some stories interesting, others fun or just plain silly. I have found that, for example, the use of different fonts and colors for words in a sentence (not just word after word of black and white as she puts it) keeps her interested. I plan to buy the rest of the serie and I am sure my yougest will still find it a great read when he gets to "chapter books". |

| Geronimo Stilton was born in New Mouse City, Mouse Island. He is Rattus Emeritus of Mousomorphic Literature and Neo-Ratonic Comparative Philosophy. In his spare time, Mr. Stilton collects antique cheese rinds and plays golf. But what he most enjoys is telling stories to his nephew Benjamin. |
