: Ready to Read 是 Simon Spotlight 出版的、和 Nickelodeon、CGTV 等电视动画片密切配合的分级读物。这套书最显著的特点，就是和动画片紧密结合，Nickelodeon、CGTV 等播放的电视动画片，对应的分级读物都在这套书中，包括著名的海绵宝宝（SpongeBob Squarepants）、朵拉(Dora)、The Backyardigans（花园宝宝）、Go Diego Go!、Wonder Pets!、Go Gabba Gabba、Blue's Clues（蓝色斑点狗） 等动画片对应的绘本，所有的美国孩子都至少看过这些中的部分动画片，几乎每个美国孩子都对这些书津津乐道。另外，现在国内的卫星电视也可以看到 Nickelodeon 频道了。

: Diego 是谁？很多人可能不知道，但是他的 Cousin, 大名鼎鼎的朵拉，几乎人人知道！其实，Dora 系列中一本书，就有 Diego 出场呢！ Diego 系列是 Dora 系列的姊妹篇，男孩子版，都在同一个频道播出的动画片，Dora(朵拉)深得女孩子喜欢，而Go Diego Go!则深得男孩子喜爱！
哪里有困难，哪个小动物陷入了麻烦，Diege 及其小伙伴总是能够排除万难出手帮助，最终化险为夷。除Dora 和 Diego 外，Nickelodeon 频道也有本馆收藏的其他系列书的动画片：SpongeBob Squarepants、Yo Gabba Gabba、Blue's Clues 等。这个频道在中国大陆的卫星电视中能够收看。

| This is a nice nature book and a good book for early readers, but I fear that it will turn impressionable youth into prairie dog lovers. Around here, the prairie is denuded by the swarms of prairie dogs that eat every blade of native grass, leaving behind ground that bakes in the blazing sun. In the spring, they try to expand beyond their crowded colonies and find new areas to populate, but during their travels they linger on the roads, to bad results. We cheer for the too-few coyotes in the hopes that they keep the population under better control! That's the circle of life! |
