Here is a book babies can really sink their gums into. Built for the way babies read, Indestructibles are printed on an amazing paperlike material that can’t be ripped, torn, or punctured. Indestructibles are 100 percent safe and nontoxic, and if they get too funky, just throw them in the washing machine or dishwasher. They’re made for baby to hold, grab, chew, pull, and bend, and are designed to create an even more special bond between reader and baby. Printed without words, the parent gets to make up the story, or just cuddle with baby while they explore together.
The creators of Indestructibles are Amy Pixton, a mother of triplets, and her mother-in-law, Kaaren Pixton, an artist and children’s educator.
Humpty Dumpty introduces the work of Jonas Sickler, a children’s illustrator whose paintings, full of detail and personality, have a fresh, whimsical sensibility, a pleasure for both baby and parents. The book gives a new spin on a traditional nursery rhyme, so parents can really have fun with the subject—Humpty Dumpty is about an egg named Humpty who’s perched on the Great Wall of China. The text for the nursery rhyme is printed on the back cover. |

| Amy Pixton, a mother of triplets, developed the idea of publishing books on Tyvek after her mother-in-law, Kaaren Pixton, a fine artist who's been making art for children for thirty years, began painting murals on Tyvek® construction wrap. Together they created Indestructibles. Amy lives in Kansas City, Kansas.
Kaaren Pixton has been making art with children for thirty years, beginning with her own children. Her grandchildren were the impetus for these books. She decided to create for them charming, indestructible books to delight their imaginations.
In the last 12 years Kaaren has worked as an artist-in-residence in Portland, Oregon, schools empowering children in the creative process. Her most recent work has focused mostly on permanent installations - murals and sculptural pieces - big ideas brought to life by young minds and hands. Kaaren and Amy Pixton began painting murals on Tyvek® construction wrap. Together they created Indestructibles.
These books are a labor of love - love of children, of the natural world, of art, of life.
