"The exemplary text, well calibrated to new readers' abilities, uses plenty of exciting, action verbs and swift dialogue to move the stories along, while Lewin's black-lined artwork extends the sense of friendship and fun." |
Foreign Customer Review / 国外客户评价: |
The Cowgirl Kate series has opened up a reading life for one of my struggling readers. This grade 4 girl, with severe reading disabilities, is reading these books with a passion that is a sight to behold. The stories are interesting, the characters are well developed, and the phrasing and sentence structure is easy to read, but not stilted in any way. She begs for the next book before she even finishes the last. These books are responsible for an amazing break through with a student that had given up on learning how to read. |
