Overview / 简介: |
In this new installment in Jonathan Allen’s successful series, our ever-argumentative hero, Baby Owl, is definitely NOT ready for bedtime. Other animals stay awake during the day, so why shouldn’t he? He isn’t yawning, he’s thinking! Owls are very wise, and they spend a lot of time thinking, you know. So why does everyone seem to think Baby Owl is sleepy? He's not! He's really not! He's. . . fast asleep.

Jonathan Allen's latest book featuring baby owl is another triumph. It's perfect as a group read aloud. Baby Owl's increasingly grumpy voice gives plenty of opportunity for the story reader to have fun, thus drawing the kids into this tale of an owl who just doesn't want to go to bed. Every child will see themelves here as they recognize the very words that they have said many times. Parents will enjoy it too as they appreciate Papa Owl's success (finally!) at getting Baby Owl to sleep. A big recommend for storytime for toddlers and preschoolers and for any parent wanting a good bedtime book. Have some fun with this one and the kids will too. Baby Owl is a great character that really speaks to children and I hope we continue to see more of his "adventures". |
