| Young Dash Parr has a secret; he is actually a super-fast superhero from a family of superheroes. With lots of colorful illustrations, Dash tells the story of the Incredibles from his perspective - from one young kid to another.
Now, this book is indeed a simple retelling of the story of Pixar's Incredibles, modified slightly to be from Dash's perspective. The Step 3 reading level (ages 4-8) is about right. I bought this book for a nephew, who loved the movie, and enjoyed having a brightly colored, easy-to-read Incredibles book that he could call his own. He loves the book, and we all highly recommend it.
So, if you are looking for an Incredibles book with some new information on the Incredibles, then you will be disappointed in this book. But, if you are looking for an Incredibles book that a young reader would appreciate, then this book is for you - as it was for me and my nephew! |
