| In conjunction with the release of the 2010 movie "Iron Man 2", Marvel Comics brought out a series of children's picture books. "Iron Man 2: Meet the Black Widow" reprises, in a simplified and generally non-threatening way, the heroic role of SHIELD Agent Black Widow in the story told in the movie. The vocabulary is suitable to beginning readers and is accomplanied by exciting but easy to understand illustrations.
The cover art of "Iron Man 2: Meet the Black Widow" features Iron Man and the Black Widow as played by Robert Downey, Jr, and Scalett Johansson in the movie. The actual picture book illustrations are in a style closer to the original comic book characters. "Iron Man 2: Meet the Black Widow" is recommended to parents with children who might be interested in the movie and in the process of learning to read. |
