| This book is hysterical! I love how the author uses rhyme to allow the child/children to identify the next number in this count down book. The illustrations are wonderfully captivating and the fact that it is a teaching tool is a bonus. I'm going to enjoy using this for the next couple of years with my children. This also makes a nice "love ya" present for Thanksgiving. |

Her first novel, Any Small Goodness: A Novel of the Barrio, was named an NCTE Notable Children's Book in the Language Arts, an IRA Notable Book for a Global Security, and a Judy Lopez Memorial Honor Book.
