| Grade 1–3—Max, a bald, Charlie Brown look-alike, and Pinky, a pig, are best friends, so when Pinky disappears, his pal is worried. However, with a little thinking and common sense, Max figures out just where to find his porcine pal. With minimal bold lines and bright colors, Eaton has created a humorous story of an unusual friendship. Max is fun, creative, and adventurous, while Pinky's one-track mind keeps him focused on consuming as many marshmallows as possible. Children will laugh at the silly conversations and at the funny art. The cartoon pictures offer an explanation of the simple text while the dialogue is a little more advanced. | I bought this book based on a friend's recommendation and think that it is about the best thing I've read in a long long time. Revolutionary! I know that this is the author's first book, but expect a lot more great things out of this guy. Legendary! I whole-heartedly recommend this book to anybody with an appreciation of good children's literature and hilarious adventure! Epic! |

| Initial inspiration for this story came from a little book Maxwell Eaton III created for an elementary school Spanish class. Denied a pet goat in his
childhood, Maxwell intends to incorporate one into future Max and Pinky adventures. Look for Superheroes, soaring into bookstores this fall.
