| PreSchool-Chickens offers 12 questions such as: "Do penguins dig?" opposite a picture of a perplexed penguin outlined in heavy black lines. Open up the flap and the text reads: "No, but dogs do!" The animals are illustrated on brightly colored backgrounds. Unfortunately, this book has a typo: the answer to the question, "Are fish hairy?" is "No, but orangutans do!" Crocodiles asks such questions as "Are chicks green?" and "Are sheep yellow?" Fans of Leslie's Flappy Waggy Wiggly (Dutton, 1999) will applaud Crocodiles, which will be an excellent choice for preschool storytimes |
