| My daughter (2nd grade) selected this book from the school library. They read "Miss Daisy is crasy" in class and she was impressed. I read the book and was horrified - such language as "dumbhead" in every other paragraph. Lots of rudeness, lots of wacky humor, very tense and almost bully-like, humiliating relationships between kids, etc. However, at the end of the day I decided that the book is good - it makes a good discussion ground with your child, and is wacky enough to be attractive. My daughter is an avid reader and she liked reading this book. She did not select more books to read from the series. |
