Understanding the breadth of Stephen Hawking's work let alone explaining it to an eight year old is a daunting task. Mike Venezia rises to this challenge with a good introduction to Hawking's theories and cosmic world view. While any scientist is likely to find fault with the general-ness of the discussion of this great thinkers work, for us laypeople with children it is a stellar way to incite the whole family's curiosity about the night sky.
