MY TWO YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER BEGS FOR THIS BOOK AGAIN AND AGAIN. THE BOOK WHICH IS FAIRLY INDESTRUCTIBLE IS A GREAT LEARNING TOOL. AFTER A FEW READINGS WHEN CHOOSING A SNACK FROM THE FRIGE SHE WANTED A FRESH PLUM FOR A CHANGE INSTEAD OF THE USUAL JUNK SHE BEGS FOR. SHE ALSO TOLD SLOWPOKE GRANNY THAT IT WAS A PURPLE PLUM. BOY WAS I IMPRESSED. THE BOOK IS REASONABLY SHORT FOR SOMEONE WITH A YOUNG CHILD'S ATTENTION SPAN, IT'S COLORFUL, AND SHE ENJOYS IT WHILE GANMA HAS THE SATISFACTION OF IMPARTING A HEALTHY MESSAGE AND TEACHING HER THE COLORS. I PLAN TO GIVE COPIES AS GIFTS TO MY GRANNY FRIENDS FOR VISITING TODDLERS. |
