| Although the book says for 3+ age, my daughter is 16 months old and loves this book. It's one of the first ones she finds in the stack to look at, and we "read" it before bed as well. The pages are a thicker card stock but not quite a board book. She can turn the pages but sometimes they stick and she gets multiples at once. The pages are covered in plastic laminate of some kind which makes them very durable. Each page is a different color with lots of pictures of items of that color on the page. My daughter likes to point at items to find out the names, or I will ask her where items are that she recognizes - like dog, bird, duck, etc. since she is preverbal. The book comes with a magnifying glass with a ribbon attached to the book. I suspect this is why the book is for 3+ but with proper supervision isn't a problem. I actually haven't shown her that part yet since I don't want her to pull it off the book, so it stays in the hole on the cover designed for it. Overall, I love this book and got online to see if there were any more like it. I would definitely buy more in the series. |
