| Wow, it was more of a history lesson for me than a moral lesson for my son. I had no idea soccer was so obscure to some people (decades ago). The basics are this: Papa doesn't think soccer is a real sport, like baseball and basketball. Mama and the cubs are really good at it, and he's eventually won over, even though he is really bad at playing.
I've never ever met anyone who thought soccer was obscure; I had to ask my grandma to find out that my grandfather may have had this attitude...in the sixties. Sooooo, I'll always love the BB family, but keep on looking for a soccer book to excite my young ones about the sport. |
