| This book had engaging illustrations of the little girls and the ponies and overall was a good story with a nice outcome. By the end, the girls decide to start a Pony Club. It also has several moments that make a side conversation possible (e.g. -What would you take to Show n Tell? Rub my nose; is it as soft as the pony's?) Grayce had trouble identifying and keeping track of the girl's names. She asked me several times "Who is Jill?" and "Which one is Meg?" Grayce gave "Pony Crazy" by Catherine Hapka four stars. |

| Catherine Hapka is the author of many books for children of all ages. She is too tall to ride ponies, though her mare, Gerri, still looks like one. Catherine takes riding lessons twice a week and lives on a farm with Gerri, three goats, a small flock of chickens, and too many cats. |
