| As far as nonfiction board books go, this is one of the best out there. The pictures are lovely and the pages have bright colors, which appeals to my daughter. Meanwhile, the text is interesting enough that repeated readings don't put me to sleep! Each animal tells a fact about itself and offers an action word at the bottom (things like "chomp!" or "scribble scrabble!") which make the page fun. I especially like that this book includes a few less-expected animals (tarsier and fennec fox) along with the usual ones (owl and raccoon). We're working on collecting the whole "Baby Animals" series! |
