| PreS-Simple text and brightly colored art are the highlights of this book, which roughly follows the same format that Stanley used in What Do You Say? (S & S, 2003). Friendly animals, ranging from fireflies to elephants, are asked, "What do you do?" The answers are straightforward, except for one: "Aha, cheetah! What do you do?/I run fast./So tell us beetle! What do you do?/I ROCK! That's what I do!" The book concludes with the title question being directed at listeners. | OK so all the animals do what they are supposed to do till you get to the Beetle who - wait for it - ROCKS!
Ok so a little cheesy but what does a toddler know about the Beetles? Nice pictures and a fun simple story - helps children learn what different animals do (chickens lay eggs, cows give milk) |
