Overview / 简介: |
Through the seasons, Cat and Mouse work together in the garden.
Together, they watch seeds that turn into plants in the spring,
and plants that turn into flowers in the summer,
and flowers that turn into pumpkins in the fall!
And when their pumpkins are finally ready, Mouse gives the best surprise of all to his friend, Cat!
Anne Mortimer’s charming story about friendship and discovery is perfect for any season. |
Foreign Customer Review / 国外客户评价: |
Anne Mortimer's text and illustrations in this book are beautiful. The drawings are both realistic and magical at once.
The book opens:
"One morning in May, Cat wondered, "How do pumpkins grow?"
"I know," said Mouse, "And I will show you how."
Cat and Mouse plant seeds. Cat's paw is just perfect for poking the hole, and that page demonstrates that wonderful fanciful yet realistic style.
Kids love to plant and watch things grow, and this book is a perfect way for them to learn about that -- any time of the year. The end of the book has a page "Instructions for Growing Pumpkins." |
