| PreSchool-Grade 2-- A young boy sets out to paint his ideal world. In simple rhyming couplets and accompanying dreamy watercolors, he depicts a kingdom of "no more naps," a shiny red car, and a candy house with chocolate furniture. His imaginings include a pair of wings for himself, a room with dancing clothes and toys, an enormous pet, and child-sized parents. Condescending and self-consciously childlike in tone and expression, this mediocre picture book will do little to encourage creative thinking or artistic dabbling. Children's own visions are sure to be more colorful and exciting.
